You might, however, believe Hugh Laurie. “It contains some ingredients that we have not seen before on House — or many other television shows — for quite some time,” he teases. “It’s quite a trip. Ausiello: As coincidence would have it, I asked showrunners David Shore and Katie Jacobs exactly that question when I chatted them up at Fox’s press tour party. “I’m not worried about it,” said Shore, whose deal with House producer NBC Universal is up for renewal at season’s end. Jacobs seconded that emotion. “I can’t imagine it not coming back,” she said, adding that she’s still thinking up ways to extend the franchise when the day does come that the show ends. “I once thought of a Three’s Company kind of spinoff with Wilson, Cuddy and House,” she admitted. “I don’t think that will happen. But I have thought about it.”
Question: Is there any possibility of Jennifer Morrison returning to House this season? —Isabela
Ausiello: The possibility definitely exists, but Shore says there’s “nothing in the works at this time.”

The physician recently discovered that his wife was involved in a relationship with an online friend in the Fox medical drama.
"I think his ego is instantly struck," Jacobson told the Los Angeles Times. "It never really occured to Taub that something like that would happen, and that just shows what an... egomaniac he is."
However, he added: "I don't like to act him that way. I think he's just a proud man and a talented doctor."
The actor also suggested that House and Cuddy's own romance is good for the show.

It was really fun to push the fictional envelope with Cuddy having pussy mom.
Q: the dialogue between the characters in the season opener. talking about season 7 premiere.
A: It felt more like a play. The writers felt that you couldn't just put these two characters together. You have to give them a moment.
They really thought about it long and hard. They thought about different ways to handle the relationship in the season opener.You couldn't get the characters together & go on as normal right away.
TPTB thought about many different ways to discover their relationship. they will try as hard as they can to make it work.
Q: Where relationship is heading.
A: Two complicated people who want to be together. They might not be able to, but they want to.

A: House & Cuddy are going to try as hard as they can to stay together.
Q: How Cuddy changed over the year.
A: Cuddy didnt change, just more complicated, the performance taints the character but it's Shore's story and character.David Shore controls their world and rhythm & humor become embellished when you put the actor in the part.

A: enjoy the process even in this hard process. make the most of it.
Q: What is atmosphere on set?
A: We're not pranksters. We have alot of smart, very disturbed people working on the show. It's alot of fun because we all like eachother. A lot of great wits on this crew, very smart and disturbed person there! but mostly concentrated.
ON 5to9: it's fun to be the person setting the pace, the atmosphere on stage, being responsible not to have an attitude and have fun. loved it
Q:: If someone would have told you in season 1 that House and Cuddy would be a couple, what would you say to that?
A: I wouldn't be surprised. I saw something with that in the pilot.If you told me that House and Cuddy would have gotten together in season 6 or season 7, I would have been more shocked about us actually having a season 6 or 7.
Q: What does CUddy's clothes say about her?
A: She's all work and very little play. She can't even run in those skirts.Cuddy's clothes say she's very controlling & her life is restricted. She likes the clothes hold her in.
Q: Are there any actors that are similar to their characters in any way
A: No. People are alot more goofier than their characters.
Q: What are Cuddy's best qualities?
A: She has alot of responsibility and she takes it on.
On Cuddy's family. When the crisis hits, it gets really messy.
Q: Another Cuddy focused episode?
A: No, I have no idea. They don't tell me this stuff.
Q; Any guest stars looking forward to?
A: Besides the Cuddy family, I'm bad at remembering names.
Q: How do you (Lisa) spend a day off?
A: I spend my days off taking care of myself. Taking walks with my dog. Slimming. Just doing things that keep me calm and slow
I try not to drive that much. I try to keep it peaceful. We work really hard when we're working. Going to charity events, etcs...
Q: Have you had any chance to spend time at a hospital recently?
A: Last year I got to observe this really cool surgery and I had a really good time doing it. I love biology and it was interesting.
Q: What is your secret to staying in shape?
A: I try to eat really well...and that's about it.Eating well doesn't mean that you have to eat boring, tasteless food.I make food all the time for my friends who aren't vegans and they never go away hungry.Her favorite healthy snack: Salad, Kale... they used to call her rabbit as a kid.
Q: Have you ever thought about putting out a vegan cook book?
A: No, I haven't. I really steal from every other cookbooks, so the whole thing would be plagiarized. I recommend "Clean Food," a book I got last year.
Q: After 7 season, why do people keep tuning in?
A: That's the magic bullet, isn't it? It's so arbitrary on what makes a series works. Our 6 first episodes, we would have been canceled if it weren't for American Idol stepping in.
Q: Is everyone on board for next season?
A: No. There's something going on. There's a complicated structure.
NBC wants Fox to take over production and Fox doesn't want to take it over. Hugh is there for an 8th season.
Q: What does Cuddy do for House and what does House do for Cuddy?
A: There's a great history there and when you get older, that's a really important thing to have with someone. Problems having been solved, truths having be faced.He knows that she'll tell him the truth, she'll tell him when he's went to far. For Cuddy, it's his intelligence and brilliance that excites her. Whether he's someone she can trust is something she'll have to see.
Q: How do you think Huddy is different from the other "will they or won't they" relationships on television.
A: The relationship isn't about will they or won't the. It's always been about House's journey.
Q: Hopes for the future of the show.
A: I stay out of it. I would hate to see David Shore read my opinion about the character and what should happen. I just enjoy the ride. |

As the team treats him, they discover that he has led his wife (guest star Ashley Jones) to believe that he is still maintaining his once-lucrative real estate career. Meanwhile, Cuddy is honored with an award and needs House to be at the charity event for support, but his attendance is threatened when his patient's battle to survive forces him to question his practice and his own happiness, and Chase (Jesse Spencer) and Masters teach each other a lesson in forging meaningful personal and professional relationships.

Picture this: House and Cuddy in western gear a la Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. Robert Sean Leonard’s Wilson hanging out in a sitcom-style version of House’s apartment as a laugh track pipes in. A musical number choreographed by So You Think You Can Dance‘s Mia Michaels. A horror movie (with zombies!). And a classic black-and-white movie. Sound like the craziest episode of House ever? Executive producer Greg Yaitanes explains.
“Within those dreams, the story of what [the team is] going through is being told in [the dreams] throughout the episode,” he says. “It just allowed us to [tell the] message of this great story between them and let the fans participate in a new way.” Very new, indeed. But definitely worth watching if you’re a Cuddy fan. In fact, it’s required watching if you’re a Cuddy fan. “If you’re enjoying their storyline, this is going to be a very important episode,” Yaitanes teases of the likely “polarizing” episode. “I think people will love or hate us for it, but I just think there’s some incredible work there that was done. Liz [Friedman] wrote an amazing script, and I think everybody really shines in a big way,” he says.
I begged him for more, but all I got was: “The musical is… I don’t think anyone will have seen something like that on television before.”
